About
Christine
Being in love with design my whole life, my devotion to design runs deep, evident in every aspect of my life. Design is not just about appearance but about creating meaningful experiences that meet users' needs. In addition, my understanding of different stereotypes of people allows me to design inclusive and accessible designs, reflecting the insatiable curiosity that has driven me to explore the world and experience various opportunities and interactions with diverse individuals.
My journey in the design world began in Seoul, where I attended Hongik Design High School. Despite facing language barriers and unfamiliar surroundings, I pursued my dreams and graduated from an art high school in Los Angeles. My intense desire to experience the world led me to join YTN Radio US, where I learned management skills and the ability to convey accurate information to people. I then landed a pre-production position at Milky Way Jeans, where I learned about clothing production.
My empathy and understanding of various people grew when I worked as a customer service representative at Cosmetic World in Los Angeles. My concern for my parents' business led me to manage their restaurant, where I gained experience with various people, deepening my understanding of their needs. I realized that the restaurant and its customers would benefit from a website and a mobile app, leading me to start think about UX/UI design.
Diverse experiences have taught me to approach design problems from multiple perspectives, considering different users' unique needs and preferences. My ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures has allowed me to create designs that are inclusive and accessible to a broader audience. My determination, resilience, and curiosity have shaped my journey in the design world, inspiring those who cross paths with me.
Traveling to France, Switzerland, and Italy with a friend and exploring Asia alone in my late 20s, I gained a deeper appreciation of visual arts and broadened my perspective on design. My experiences in life have shaped my design style, allowing me to create designs that look great and meet users' needs, creating a fulfilling experience for them.
My willingness to take risks led me to dive into the UX/UI design world at Thinkful, where I continue to learn and grow as a designer. My life lessons make me stronger in solving problems and more empathetic in understanding users' needs. I strive to create beautiful designs that provide users a seamless and enjoyable experience.
My unique perspective and understanding of people will continue to shine through in my designs, impacting the design world significantly. I blend creativity, empathy, and problem-solving skills, inspiring those around me to pursue their passions and dreams. As I continue to explore the world and immerse myself in different cultures, my designs will reflect my love for creating meaningful experiences that meet users' needs.
